Methven Walkway.

Methven Walkway was opened in 1979 and takes in a range of scenery from rural fringe, irrigation canal and the most magnificent views of the Southern Alps in the District.

The Methven Walkway is about 12km in length and has a range of options throughout the track to extend or reduce your distance. In recent years, the Walkway has been upgraded through a range of initiatives led by the Methven Community Board and Ashburton District Council; and with the enormous support of Methven Lions and members of the Community.

The upgrades have made the Methven Walkway one of the most utilised public spaces in the District and is proudly utilised by locals and visitors alike. If you're up for a leisurely stroll, or feel the need to burn some energy then hit the Methven Walkway.
